You know, the UT '78 pace car came out 4 years ago, and dozens of them have passed through my hands in that time, but I just noticed something about them. The interior is wrong! It's all black except for the seats. We all know it should be all silver, and I can't believe I never noticed it before. I guess I've always been so awestruck by the exterior that I never noticed the interior very much. It is still in my opinion just about the most beautiful 1/18 Vette made.

Re: Can't see the forest for the trees... (69mako)
The only thing I've seen lately is that the hood stripe decal seems to crack/peel over time. I've come across several of them with this problem. The rest of the decals are fine though. They must have used a different application process for the hood decals.
Re: Can't see the forest for the trees... (7Vette)
I noticed it right away, but then I owned a pace car before I bought my FRC. Was going to redo the interior but decided not to since I thought it would hurt its value and collectability :reddevil
Re: Can't see the forest for the trees... (7Vette)
You know, I never took notice, but it doesn't surprise me. It's much cheaper to just take the dash, etc. pieces right off the same assembly line as the other '78s. It doesn't bother me though. The did such a great job with that diecast that I'm willing to let the interior color slide. I just pray that AutoArt decides to make a Millennium version. If they do, I'll buy 2 or 3 of them.
