My project garage....in 1:18 scale
Check this out. It is almost done. I only need to add the plexiglass cover and a garage door. I have figured out how to make the door, but haven't gotten around to it yet.
What do you guys think?

I would consider adding such items if I could find them in scale(or even close). But I looked through model magazines and at hobby stores and didn't find anything like that. I know some companies(like Franklin Mint) have them for some complete diarammas that they sell, but I couldn't find any.

The floor is made from standard issue dollhouse kitchen tile. Available at any respectable hobby store.(or they can order it for you). The mirrored backing is made from a 1" fiberboard coated with some kind of laminate with reflective backing. The workbench was made from balsa wood, also obtained at the hobby shop. Then painted primer gray to look metal. The trick to tht was getting the legs right. Each one is 3 pieces of cut wood glued together in the shape of a H.
Thanks for the compliments guys. one thing to be carefule of. this thing is 42" long and 14" deep, the only place in my house where I can keep it is the living end table.

Very nice! Thanks for putting the 9volt battery in there for scale. Otherwise it was kinda hard to tell how big it really was. Have someone stand next to it for the final picture for comparison. :yesnod:
Where did you get the dually truck and spare tires? I have the trailer kit and a C5R and need these items.
Check out Forum sponsor http://www.diecastmuscle.com. They've got Chevy pickups, duallys and Suburbans by a couple of different manufacturers in a bunch of different colors. I've got a yellow HumVee pulling my C5R.

Re: My project garage. (Illini Steve)
Actually, this particular truck came from Exoticar model company. The tires and brake rotors(between the tires on a toothpick) came from an extra '97 coupe I had by Burago. A little sandpaper and some time later, viola... set of slicks.
