Default More models, what I have been up to....

Hi Everyone. It has been a while since I posted the "Alpha" vette (about a year actually), so I thought I would post some of my builds since then. Some of you have asked me to post new builds as I complete them, Corvette or other. If you guys would like me to stop posting, just let me know and I will stop.
Another reason I am posting is that my next subject will definitely be a Corvette, a very special one. I hope to post an in-progress thread once I start it.
Anyway, here is what I`ve been up to. Let me know what you think.

Spectacular work. The paint work is amazing, as are the details.
Did these start as plastic kits?

Thanks. Yes, these all started out as plastic kits. All we modified quite a bit though, especially the Mustang and the truck.

LOVE the 1/12 Mustang and the 1/8 Camaro!! Curious though, why didn't you use the IROC decals? Also, did you paint on the stripes or make new decals?

Thanks! The Iroc decals that came in the kit were red with a black outline. They assumed you would build it in black I guess. The stripes were masked and painted on.
Seeing your avatar, I thought you might like this one if you haven`t seen it already:

You do beautiful work, no doubt! I think I've seen your 67 coupe before; have you done several of them in varying colors? What paints do you use? The shine is outstanding on all your builds!

I'm actually looking over that 1/12 '67 right now. Thinking of replicating a friends car with it; marlboro maroon with black interior and black stripe, knock offs and side pipes. I built a 1/24 replica of our '64 (the avatar car) a year or so ago using the Monogram '65 Black Rat and backdating the fenders and hood:

Oh, and I asked about the IROC because I too have the 1/8 kit and plan to replicate my '89 with it.

Thanks! Yeah, I built a bunch of these. I really spend alot of time on the finish. For most of them, I use Duplicolor sprays from the can, like you see in the auto parts stores. Some times, especially for the commissioned builds, I will have the local jobber mix some up for me. But honestly, the Duplicolor actually rubs out better then the "good" stuff.

Ohhh, nice!! What wheels did you use for that? I thought the `65 kit had the turbine wheels?
How is the big kit coming along? You are going to share pics then, right?

Very nice!! After the Flame Red, White is my favorite color on these. That is an `88? `89?

Thank you! I must admit, I considered myself a better than average builder but I sorted the forum by poster and have been looking at your various work over the years...your work is supurb! I am in awe.

Your'e right; the black rat came with turbine wheels. These rally's came from the Revell Skill 3 '67 Coupe. The big kit I haven't touched yet other than poking through the box and thinking. Not sure when I'll get to it; I've got three other replica builds going at the moment and have been asked about two more.
