Does anyone want a realistic c6 grand sport die cast?
I know I do. So, I just e-mailed Jeff Nelson at Green Light Toys, to try to convince him to get his company to make them for us.
http://www.greenlighttoys.com/contact-us.html is the link to get the contact info, and I'm sure our forum vendors will sell them, IF we can convince them to make it.
So help me convince them to help us out
IF we convince them that there is a market (and there should be, because NO ONE makes a "realistic" C6 Grand Sport die cast), they they will go for it.
Hey I did the same approach with Curt Hitches, and they are now making a hitch that will fit vettes with NPP style exhausts.

They never did respond to me, so I'm gonna resend my request. Others should contact them too, IF we are ever gonna get a realistic Grand Sport in 1/24th scale.

I've started to modify a Mattel Yellow ZO6 into a convertible GS, and have used the trunk insert from a Mattel C6 red convertible. There are some differences in the A Pillar so I have modified the ZO6 frame to accept the C6 A Pillar. The ZO6 has the correct stearing wheel so I will use that although the seats are not quite correct for the 2012 model year. I'm not sure what to do about the side front fender vents yet, so it continues to be a work in progress.

I've been tinkering with the same project for over a year.
Was going great until I got to the wheels and the side vents...
Might be easier to change the wheels and fenders on the real car!

I'd buy one. been building and collecting models all my life. Where'd you find the Mattel die cast?

The Z06 was a relatively short run - only issued once in yellow. So, they tend to be a little pricey.
Regular C6 was done in coupe and convertible in several colors each.
Pretty decent model for the price...
Good luck - geo
