2003 Corvette Pace 1/18

Hi. My small collection consists of the 78, 95, 98, 00, Corvette Indy Pace Cars. I have a few C5's, and a few C4's and and yellow ZR1. I have seen a few 86 1/18 Corvette Pace cars on ebay made by MidAmerica. I hope some day soon an 86 vette pace will go into 1/18 production :-// Does anyone know if/when there will be a 2003 50th Corvette 1/18 scale be available? Darcy

Watch the corvette forum , as soon as we find out we will post here. Indianapolis Motor Speedway's catalouge has them listed but not due out until August in 1/43 Scale , 1/24 Scale and 1/18 Scale. They list the 2002 Indy Pace Car in 1/18 Scale for $79.00 But I'm sure we'll find for less when they come out. By the way I've never seen a 1/18 scale 1986 listed anywhere, Do you have any pictures or know where I could buy one?

Da! What was I thinking.... No one has ever produced any early C-4's in 1/18th

I have seen 2 1986 Corvette Pace cars. They were both for sale on ebay. The description said that they were a limited production made by MidAmerica which consisted of 500 1/18th 's. They were Yellow/Black Convertibles. The bids were over $600 US. I don't know if they were sold or who would buy them at that price....But it would nicely complete my small Corvette Official Pace car Collection .

I have not see any of these .. If some reading this post has a picture of one please post. They were not produced by Mid America but possibly for them as they do not make diecasts , They are an aftermarket supplier of Corvette parts and collectibles. If you think $600 is bad there was a 1970(Item #1721874471) GTO Judge Convertible 1/18 Scale on e-bay just sold for $2600.00 with 25 bids on it. Three individual bidders bid over $2500 for this item.

Silver85..you are correct, these 500 86 Vette Pace car 1/1/8 were not produced by MidAmerica" but they were promoted and retailed by them. I have no idea who actually manufactured them. If I recall they even have serial numbers. That is one nice rare GTO Judge that sold on e-bay. Thanks for the item# :)

Looks OK, but $600 for a Franklin Mint is a bit more than I'd pay.

Description: Franklin Mint 1986 Corvette Pace Car Convertible 1/24th Scale RARE! Only 500 produced for Mid America by Franklin Mint to sell through their mail order catalog. Indy 500 Pace Car tampo printed graphics on the car, along with a 1 of 500 Mid America plate under the car with cert/title.

A bit more than I'd give for a 1/24 scale even if it was made by Franklin mint , But nice if you're into 1/24th scale.

Real Poor Quality on the other models I have seen by them but for less than $10 if you just want the 86 Convert. is'nt a bad deal.
