WTB: 98 Corvette pace car 1/18 scale by Maisto

Just before Christmas someone contacted me asking if I had any of the 1/18 scale 1998 Corvette pace car models available. I told him the only one I had was from my own collection and he begged me to sell it to him, as it was to be a Christmas gift for his son. I agreed, and now I am regretting it because I have been unable to find a replacement for a reasonable price. I would like to find one for $50.00 including shipping, as this is what I was paid. Original box is not necessary, although the plastic base would be nice.

Again, this is for my own collection, NOT for resale. Please help me out!

well, hope you find one. Can you believe I bought both of my pace cars (95 & 98) at Sams for $9.99 each!!???!!?? That was years ago though.

My g/f picked one up for me at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway on a business trip! Might check with their online gift shop. Price was around $25.

Just got one from an Ebay lurker(was outbid, he contacted me with the same car), was around $50.00 plus shipping. Theres usually a couple on Ebay, but I just checked, none except 95,s right now. BTW, does anybody know where I can get the Pace car poster that the Avatar is taken from?

Marc - I just checked MY collection; I have a Maisto 1:18 '98 Pace car with box & plastic base. After you check out Tormania's lead and are still interested...I don't think it's worth 50 BUX :nono: :nonod: , but if YOU do...

The Indy gift shop has them for $32.00 plus shipping. Call them at 1-800-955-INDY to order. I went ahead and bought two. (After all, they're selling on eBay for $50+)

Thanks Guys , I just ordered the 1998 and 1995 Pace Cars from them. The 1998 is in stock but they had to do some more checking on the 1995 as they only show 1 or 2 left in stock and had to make sure they still had one.$30 for the 95 is less than they have been going for on e-bay. Great Idea!!! Thanks

Bah! I didn't even think to ask about the '95 car. :(
The speedway gift catalog can be found at http://www.indyracingleague.com/giftshop/ but it is very hard to read. They also just opened a Yahoo store at http://store.yahoo.com/brickyard/index.html but there's not much in it yet.

p.s. can someone tell me how I can upload my own avatar?

If anyone else is interested - E-Bay has a 1998 Pace Car on now with "Buy it Now" of less than $30.00 To bad it wasn't there yesterday , could have saved a few bucks. Also they have (3) 1995 Pace cars on also.

Just ordered mine from Indy :) . I don't think they have any more 95's, but they have 347 1998's in 1/18 left..oops, 346. Thanks for the info. Think they might do a group purchase????

I didn't see any 1/18 scale 1998 pace cars, although I saw a few 1/24 scale promo cars. Can you provide a link or the seller's ID?
