Default 1:18 1994 Coupe

I thought it would be nice to have a "twin" of my car. I haven't seen them though. The "96" Grand sport that I saw had the wrong seats in it...from a 93 or earlier model. Do they actually make these?

Maisto did a 1992 ZR1 and the 1996 Last C4 for Mid America. These are the only 1:18th scale C4's in white.
check this one out.. http://cgi.ebay.com/Maisto-1996-Last...QQcmdZViewItem

I would start with the Maisto '92 since it has the same "gills" as the '94, whereas the '96 would be different. The A-mold wheels could be taken from another Maisto Vette, and the interior can be repainted red.

How difficult is it to take apart and do this?

Maisto C4's are about the easiest to modify of any 1/18's. The chassis unscrews from the bottom in 6 places, and everything just pops out from there. I would suggest just swapping the chassis with the sawblade wheels for one with the 5-spoke wheels as the wheels can be a little difficult to remove from the hubs. The interior is easy to disassemble, prime, and paint. All Maisto C4 chassis' are the same, so the swap is no problem. There are a few that come with silver A-mold wheels.

Mike (7Vette) is right on all accounts but to get the silver A mold wheels might be a problem as they were only offered on the silver CE convertible and 1 of the several variations of the red coupe and the 95 Pace car http://cgi.ebay.com/MAISTO-INDIANAPO...QQcmdZViewItem or http://cgi.ebay.com/MAISTO-1995-INDY...QQcmdZViewItem .Good Luck!

I think I'll wait and watch for the White 92 ZR1, at least the outside will have the right "gills". Then I can pick up one of the others with the silver a molds.

If you guys run across one let me know.

I like when people "mis-label" their items. Less people competing for it cuz they weren't looking in the right place

I don't think the person selling it has a clue ,here is their description ...
"Beautiful Maisto die cast 1:18 scale model of the fabulous mid-engine 1992 Jaguar XJ220 roadster. It is British right-hand drive, doors, front “bonnet” and the “glass” over the engine open and it has steerable front wheels. The model measures 10 ½” long. It is in very good condition. It comes with the original box which is a little beat up. Made in Thailand. "

He has the Jag in another auction, he must've just forgotten to change the description.

Hopefully those are good prices, I just bid on the white ZR1 and one of the 95 Pace cars to make mine.

Beings I am going to get something like the 95 pace car, can I just take the white body off and put it on the pace car chassis, so I'll have the right engine too? I mean, is it that easy?

Yep, Maisto C4's are piece of cake to do swaps with. You can just put the pace car chassis under the white body and interior and you should be good to go. It's so easy, a caveman can do it!

Must not have wanted it too bad I see ya let it go for less than $16.They really are not that plentiful to be letting one slip by that cheap.

I had already bid on another one, and didn't figure that I really needed two. Besides, what are they going to sell for? $20...$30? I wasn't sure what a good price was . I have a higher bid the other one.
