I'm looking to complete my set of 78 UT Vettes - does anyone out there have a yellow one they are willing to part with? I prefer mint in box, but new (i.e. previously displayed) in box will do just as fine.

I just picked up the regular silver, but haven't had much luck with the two tone either. Thanks for the tip on gomotorbids. I'll have to check that out.

Well, a HUGE THANK YOU to Copter for the advice. I got in on an auction for a mint UT Yellow 78 on gomotorbids.com and I just snagged her for $56! Considering that I lost last attempt on Ebay for one of these a few weeks ago at $96, this was a bargain.
I went an looked last night to see if there was a yellow up for sale.I thought that was you bidding on it.Glad I was able to help.I think I paid pretty much the same price for mine.Now if I could only find the black one.Do you have the red 78?That black one is the only one I'm missing.The two tone silver I got has been the only one I've seen for sale in quite some time.If I remember I think I paid pretty close to retail for it.
Yep, that was me. I was surprised there were no last second attempts to fight for it; granted it was up there in price, but like I said, for what the last two went for on Ebay, this was cheap. I've also got the red 78, and the black was actually the second Corvette diecast I ever got. I picked it up at the Miami Auto Show about 4/5 years ago for $30. I've actually seen a couple come across on Ebay within the last two months, so I would continue to check there.
I'm pretty sure he got it so I put a bid on yours.Nice to have a spare.Maybe I can find someone with the black one and make a trade.Thats all I need to complete my collection.
Like I mentioned earlier, I got the yellow on gomotorbids a while back, but I also finally got the two tone from fellow forum member ludachris, who was selling off his collection and had one available. Now, my 78 family is whole!
Copter - sounds like you finally got the black one?
Right now, I'd like to focus on completing my 69 Revell's, so if anyone has a green one or orange one they'd like to sell, let me know! 7Vette had a black one (REALLY RARE) for sale a couple of weeks ago, but it got too rich for my blood (just finished snagging the 67 blue vert with white top by Motorbox, so I was drained). If anyone has that one, let me know as well.
