Default Almost bought a white 1:18 C6

I was out of town this week, and while killing some time in a local shopping center, I saw a store with some diecasts. I had a look around, and low and behold, there sat a white HW C6. I *really* wanted to buy it because it's fairly hard to find, but I passed it up in favor of keeping the carry-on bag at minimum size.

That's a good find. Too bad you had to pass it up. It's the only HW C6 I don't have, and I've been trying to find it in the local stores too. I've seen a few on eBay that were reasonably priced, until the shipping fee is added. I'll try to hold out for one in a model shop or toy store somewhere if possible.

Same here. I saw a couple of them at Walmart over a month ago. I've also seen them in Target and TRU. White is a nice color on them. Hopefully Maisto does a good job with the C6 mold too.

Hot Wheels did in the past have some special 69 Corvette coupes at Target that were limited but I have never seen this new limited white C-6 there.

Yep, the black HW '69 coupe with while ZL-1 striping was a Target exclusive a few years back, as were a few other Vettes. The white C6 isn't exclusive to any store. It has a 1 of 8500 sticker on the box window, which probably means 1 of 18500!

No red ZL-1, but the Hot Wheels 13th Convention black & white car is considered a ZL-1.

Default HW C6 White

I actually saw one in Target (I'm outside of Ft. Lauderdale), but also passed it up as it had too high a price tag ($25) for my blood. A few weeks ago, my 3 year old dragged me into a KB Toys outlet in Orlando while the wife shopped and what did I find on the top shelf of a wall of diecasts - a HW White C6 - for, get this, $12!!!! Of course, I snatched it up faster than lightning! Not sure if all KB outlet stores are like this, but there were stocked beyond belief with diecasts of all kinds at great prices. All kidding aside, it was an entire aisle full from top to bottom; a rare sight nowadays....

I have seen them in Walmart also. They do have the sticker on them "limited edition". I picked up a couple because I want to do the reverse gs scheme like my 1:1 87.

I have seen these at Wal Mart & KB Toys. The Wal Mart Verts have a different box and are market as limited edition, the cars at KB are $12.50 vs Wal Marts $23.67......

Default Kb C6

For the record, the $12 white c6 I got at KB did have the Limited edition sticker on it and was the same box as the one I saw at Target. Guess when there are 188,500 copies of a 8500 limited Run, they get around ).....
