Wanted - 1/18 1997-98 Corvette Coupe in Fairway Green. I know they were made but can't remember which company made them...probably Maisto or Bhurago. I've been watching eBay but thought I'd throw it out here also as an example has not turned up yet. I don't care if it's boxed. Thanks for the offer 69mako but I need the coupe version. It was made...I even had a couple back when they were first made but sold them along the way. I had the real thing in '98/99 and should have kept at least one diecast version but had brain fade or something. One will turn up someday on eBay if no one here has a spare. Thanks for the offer on the vert though! Pete

If you had one it was a repaint. No manufacturer has made a green C5 coupe in 1/18 yet. Maisto and Burago both made '98 dark green convertibles. Welly has a green '99 convertible planned, and UT made no green C5's. Is it possible it was 1/24? A lot of companies made 1/24 C5's, and I do recall green ones.

Bburago did make a 1/18 Green Coupe in their DIY kit line. I have a Grren Coupe and a Green Convert. I got mine at Wal Mart, but don't remember how long ago it was.

I stand corrected, I forgot about the kits. I tend to think of those more as toys than collectibles.

Now why would you do that since they are the exact same car but you get charged more for having to assemble it yourself.

I always wondered that myself. I'm going to pay more for the privilege of putting one together that I can buy assembled for less?

Unless, as in this case, it's only available as a kit, we're just taking food out of the mouths of the Chinese workers who assemble them over there.
