Default Commemorative Edition Color?

I am building the Revell 2004 Z06 CE model. I am approaching the body painting stage. What brand/color-name of blue closely matches the real color?

I am planning on airbrushing the body. It will be my first venture into airbrushing.

Thanks in advance!

Get the real color, the paint code is WA-933L, on the CE it is know as Lemans Blue Metallic, it is also known as Luxo Blue Metallic

I never even thought of that! Forgive my ignorance, but will it be sprayable in common model airbrusher sprayers? Will it stick to the plastic adequately? Any special procedures?

You should have no problems with the air brush. Just make sure you use the right primer on the plastic, or your plastic will craze. I use Dupli Color primer on mine.
Post some pictures of the finished model.

You can go to this site and order a 2 oz bottle http://www.paintscratch.com
They say it will cover 3 sq. feet, maybe you will need 2 bottles, i can't say? They sell 16 oz cans (a lot more money)
You can get a 12 oz spray can, but you wont have the same control as your air brush.

Don't for get you will need to clear coat it, just like a real car, primer, base coat, clear coat.

Should I install the decals before applying the clear coat?

Tom, that looks great! Did you do anything special with the underside of the hood? I noticed you didn't hinge the hood, interesting. Did you use the real-deal paint?
