FS/FT: 1968 Survivor Numbers Matching Rare Corvette Copper Paint.
SOLD
SOLD
1968 Corvette Coupe T-Tops - Survivor - 45K Original Miles
$18,900 O.B.O.
Late Model production 68 was made in May.
327 300 HP
For Sale in Macomb, MI
This car is a well maintained, reliable survivor, never used in winter, and always stored indoors. Interior is Dark Orange. The Paint is Corvette Copper which was only available in 68. The guys at Bloomington thought it was quite unique as you don't see this color a lot.
I had this judged for the old format for survivor and it passed on Paint and Interior. It missed on the engine just barely but they verified that it is numbers matching. The under carriage just missed too. Bloomington now has multiple levels for survivor and this would pass the 2nd highest.
What I know has changed:
Engine:
Valve covers are from a 68, but they are not the ones I bought it with. They were powder coated Chevy Orange. The Intake Manifold is a High Rise and the Carburetor was changed to a Holly 4 barrel. The Wiper Vacuum Canister is not original.
Under Carriage:
Exhaust brand new Chambered system from Ecklers, sounds like side pipes. Makes the 327 sound pretty darn mean. The Brakes were redone by previous owner. The Gas Tank was also replaced.
The Spare Tire is an original Tiger Paw.
Tires have a lot of tread left. Car runs great and made the trip from Michigan to Illinois for the Bloomington Gold Trip last year.
All gauges work, except for the clock. Fiber Optics all work except one of the Brights is dim, which is pretty amazing running on all original fiber optics.
Bloomington Judges said Paint is 85% original with touch ups being done to the back and behind all 4 wheels, which is common due to rocks coming up from the wheels. Which is why later models they changed the flare of the wheel well.
Here are some pics.

I will call you (Thursday)
Put some more in the album. That Sound Bar is no longer in the back. Sounded like poop and I wanted speakers I could remove when I'm trying to show off the "Originality" of the car. I was planning to drive it into work tomorrow, so I'll snap some more pics then too.

Cool color, I have Safari Yellow rarely see the yellow or copper.
A woman at our local cruise nite has a copper '68 & it looks completely orig. including the delaminating front windshield.
I always make my way over to look at when ever I can.

Marshal

Just got the car back from my Vette Mechanic and a couple minor of things we're attend to, $200 and the Old Girl was given a clean bill of health.

I wish you were a little closer to NJ. Corvette Bronze with the dark orange interior is by far my favorite color combo from 68.
Bump for a cool car and good luck with the sale.
