72 Big Block 4spd vert
I am selling my 72 Big Block convertible that needs to be finished for $12,000. Right now the frame and complete suspension is done and it needs the body work. I have over $13,000 in parts not including the cost of the car. Car is a factory 454 big block, four speed convertible. Non-matching numbers engine and transmission. Car was originally red, now black. Has big block 408 and turbo 350 transmission in in right now. Front clip has spider cracks, I was planning on replacing and bird cage passenger lower windshield corner will need to be replaced.
List of work/parts:
Frame sandblasted and powder coated, inside of frame rails coated with eastwood three stage rust convertor.
All seams on frame fully welded and reinforced IAW Chevrolet Racing technical bulletin.
Vette Brakes products performance plus complete front and rear suspension
Vette brakes products powder coated calipers with stainless steel sleeves and insulators
All new brake and fuel lines
Rebuilt rear differential
New offset rear trailing arms
New L88 long hood
Seats recovered with new foam
Hooker chrome headers with side pipes and baffles
Engine is a big block 402 bored out to 408 with a turbo 350 transmission, with zero miles since a recent rebuild.
Steel crank
Balanced rotating assembly with hypereutectic pistons and ARP rod bolts
Oval port heads that have been deburred and fitted with 2.19 and 1.99 fererra valves and hardened valve seats
Competition cams extreme energy hydraulic cam with matching springs
Edelbrock Performer intake
Holley 750 cfm, mechanical secondary’s, with 50cc accelerator pumps and preform main body
New HEI distributor
Milidon deep sump oil pan
With this combination the car ran a 13.12 on a 15x7 street tire.
