1968 resto and parts
1968 Corvette Convertable. I have a 1968 Vette I found locally. This car was taken apart approximately 12 years ago to do a frame off. Owner bought a lot of new parts to start the job, they will be listed below. Needless to say it never happened. The car was stored in a barn, the birdcage was sat on the ground on top of some tin, hood and front clip on top of that. Front clip is a one piece unit that wasn’t ever installed. All of the car minus the engine is here, it was a small block the exhaust manifolds with provisions for the alternator bolts and other systems are here. All of the rag top parts and associated hardware is here including the trim pieces around the top of the windshield. Rims are aftermarket. I removed the windshield to check the bed. It has some rust but I’ve seen worse, my 67 was considerably worse. Rear section needs several repairs, every panel except the driver side rear quarter needs minor repair or replacement depending on your ability. Doors are repairable, one has the skin about 1/3 of the way separated. Frame is actually in pretty good condition. I will sell this and all the parts as one package, for obvious reasons it will need to be picked up here. I already built a body dolly for the main assembly it was made to same measurments as the frame. If anyone buys it they will need a trailer and truck. I have equipment here to help load the heavier parts and I will help with that. I already have a Fairlane project starting and have taken the first step in starting another Cobra so it would be close to 3 years before I could start this, wish I had found it sooner. I just couldn’t stand to leave it on the ground.

Vacum hose kit
Power steering hoses
Battery cables
Starter solenoid
License plate mount
Extra set of 3:55 gears with limited slip, do not know the condition of the LS unit
Differential carrier bolts
New shifter and linkage
One piece front cap
I was told that the differential was rebuilt, I don’t know by who but using old school turning of input shaft it appears to be a 3:89 unit. The transmission is a muncie, no rings on input shaft and has one ear broken off. I say front one piece is new because I can’t see any indications of it being epoxied in place. Speedometer and tachometer have stamps from D&M restorations too. Asking $5000.00 OBO.

Here are some pictures of some of the parts. These were taken where it was found and has since been washed and the body mounted on a body buck. The new parts are just that new.

Figured I would have at least gotten an offer by now.
Part it out and get your $ back. The good thing - you were honest about it.
So - GLWS, or good luck parting it out.

Parts
I just couldn't stand to see where it was. Well at least I don't have a bundle in it. I've been looking at e-bay prices for some of this stuff and the pricing is crazy now. I was going to accept the first offer of $3500 or more, now after seeing what the convertable frames, trim and lots of other stuff cost now I could make considerably more. I just hate dealing with e-bay.
Anyway it's paid for and isn't going anywhere.
Thanks for the honesty comment. I've been screwed in the past, thats not me.

rust
I had a 67 coupe BB years ago. The rust it had was worse than this but as was said earlier, not everyone can do this type of work.
I'm getting ready to remove the shock towers and completely replace the front suspension on a 67 Fairlane. I would hate to see what that would cost now if I couldn't do it.
Anyway if it isn't gone after these next projects I'll put it together, already have all these new parts after all!
Well I'm off to take the grandson hunting, enjoy whats left of the weekend.

There have been several requests for a few more pictures, mostly of the new parts and the ragtop. Looks like I can only attach two pics at a time. Parts on the list are like these, new undamaged. The pics of the ragtop that I'm trying to upload still have the old top on and all parts are there and the latches work but will need to be cleaned up.
Here is one pic to see if this works again, DSL sucks!
