Default My 77 is going on the market.

Well for circumstances that I have no control
Of, I must sell my baby. My son and I put
A lot of work into her. And she has paid us
Back with a couple of trophies. My wife was
Diagnosed with breast cancer back in Sept,
As some of you know. Since then the bills have
Been adding up, I cannot work overtime, due
To being with her through this ordeal, she is
Almost half way through with Chemo. We have
Been getting by on my salary alone these past
Two years. Waiting for the Govt to approve
S.S. Disability. We finally have a court date
This Feburary. But things are tight now. I'm
Asking $ 14500 for her. I have all parts taken off.
I will post pics tonight when I get home or tomorrow.
You can search this forum under "daanbc" and see
All the work. It's a auto, A/C car with original
64k, have all receipts, a book and C/D of everything
Done. Car needs nothing but a little charge of
R-134. I can't charge it cause the charging valve
Is to close to the back of the compressor, and
The blue adapter for the charge does not fit.
Please ask with any questions. Thanks David.

Thank you all! I really don't know what the horse power is, I do know if you stand on it from 30mph, she will pull striaght thru to 110mph, after that I got scared due to the front end feeling light, But still had plenty more power to go more. My son and I did a cam/timingchain/intake/valve springs n seals/pushrods on it. I had "Lars" do the carb. I have headers with true dual exhaust, and under drive pulleys. I would guess 350 hp?? I also put in a shift kit, and a solid motor mount on the drivers side. Theres more but I have forgotten. LOL. Have to check reciepts and photos to remind myself.

best of luck to you and the wife. Mine went thru it 10 years ago and like you, I stayed by her side the entire time. Its rough. Now we are dealing with her from having 1/2 a lung removed due to lung cancer. My mom just passed from lung cancer last month. A cure needs to be found. My mom said in her last two weeks..this isn't anyway to die. She is right.

I'm awaiting Dave's reply to my offer to buy the car for the full asking price. He had an accident on his way home and I am giving him time to sort out his details. I hope to hear back from him accepting my offer tomorrow.
It is a beautiful car for sure and I believe it is worth his asking price.

David-

Good to know. You'll be getting a great looking car. Actually, I've been in the market for a '68-72 C3 convertible (must have AC), so this is pretty far away for what I'm targeting. But the color of the car and the fact that the PO has fallen into a difficult situation lately, I figured it would be nice to help the guy out and flex a bit on my needs. My wife has had a lot of cancer in her family and I really feel for the guy. I hope everything works out for all parties involved!

First and foremost I want to THANK EVERYONE for your well wishes and positive thoughts! This forum never cease's to amaze me. It's like having a second family. Im sorry I haven't posted, but been busy with Doc's for myself and wife. As for now I am holding off on selling my beloved 77. (As my daughter named it "Candy Corn") My wife and three kids are dead set against me selling it. I already have spoken with ALL3CMe and have updated him and his wife Tammy. Right now my plans are to use the $$ I receive from my Blazer (which the Ins. Co. totaled today) and use it for the needs that I have. Since my wife is not working anymore, and not feeling herself due to the treatments, she is not driving. So I will be using the "mini-van" for transport. I "may" need to sell her in the future, But for now we are going to do our best to get my wife well and keep "Candy Corn" My son really wants to take her to the prom, and my wife wants to ride in it when her hair grows back with the tops off. LOL. Again I want to say wholeheartedly many Thanks to ALL you guys and gals for your support!! And a BIG thank you to David and Tammy! David.
