FS 1970 Convertible 350/300hp - Matching
Deposit taken on this car just now. Had 2 buyers that wanted the car, and 3 other locals who wanted to drive over now. The guy who came over last night wanted to sleep on it, and when he called this morning to buy it, another guy came over now, and bought it. Guess I priced it correctly.
I will keep the post updated next week, when the buyer takes it home.
Thanks again,
Steve

Hi Members. Just bought another Vet, and my fiance thinks I have lost my mind. Now it is time to liquidate a couple of my toys, and keep only a few. I just bought this 1970 White convertible back in early September, and with the new 1957 Corvette I just bought, there is just no more room at my house. Storage prices nearby are insane, so I need to sell 1 or 2 more cars. I will sell it to a Forum Member for $18k FIRM. I have it listed on CraigsList locally for $19,800 and will list it on Ebay for $21,500 if it does not sell within a week. Below is part of the CL listing copy:
Selling my 1970 Corvette Convertible. This car is a great driver, and in excellent shape. It has the original matching #s motor, transmission, and rear end. The car is in it's original Classic White paint, and looks great. The interior is new black vinyl. The seat covers and door panels are new. This is a 4-speed car, and shifts like new. This car also has Power Steering, but no Power Brakes.
Within the last 3,000 miles, the transmission, trailing arms, and rear end have been completely rebuilt. The car has plenty of power, coming from it's matching #s 350ci / 300hp engine. The Tank Sticker is still on top of the gas tank, as you can see it from the gas tank neck rubber.
I would rate the paint as a strong 8+, and the interior a strong 9+. The chrome would be a 9. This car is a great driver, and not a trailer queen. If you are looking for something fun to drive this winter, and do a little work to take it to the next level, and worth in the high $20s to low $30s, please contact me.
This car has been in magazines, calendars and books. They will be included with the purchase of the car.
The vacuum for the headlights and wiper door is slow, so that will be a little work for the new buyer. The soft top is about a 7/10, but still very useable and driver worthy. The tires are still in great shape, and the 3 dash pieces have no cracks.
The car is an original Classic White, but the original interior color was Brown. The previous owner changed it over to black, and installed new door panels, seat covers, etc.

Thanks for looking,

You snooze you lose; had the same thing happen to me more than once. I can spot a tire kicker a mile away even on the phone. I have told guys this car is not for you knowing well in advance he's about to waist my time.

No snoozing for me!
I picked up Steve's other C3 last week. I pulled the trigger after talking to him. Other people wanted it, but he was very fair in accepting my offer ( at the asking price btw) and allowing me to send the bank check down to him.
