Essex Designed AP Racing Competition Big Brake Kit for C7 Stingray test fit complete
Hi Guys,
I thought some of you would like to see this, and I'll update this thread as the project develops. We're knee deep into R&D on our Competition BBK for the Stingray. The kit will feature almost identical components to our Endurance Kit for the C5 & C6: a six piston AP Racing caliper and 355x32mm AP Racing J Hook. We have our rear system in process as well, and some really cool odds and ends to further enhance braking.
Also of note for those with a C5 or C6 hoping that your current brake kit will fit on your C7 when you get it...sorry, no dice. The system will require a different caliper bracket and hat vs. the prior generation cars.
We test fit rapid prototypes today and everything lined up nicely. Our kit won't have any trouble clearing the OEM Z51 wheels without a spacer. You can see more details on our blog. We should be shipping these before the end of the year.
