Default Last track day at Nurburgring in my z06

This past weekend (yesterday) was the last day north loop was open for public. I did good 4 laps, all around 8min time mark. Im getting more comfortable with the car, which is great. When i was pulling up there temps were 32f, with roads being very damp. There was also a lot of fog(gp track wouldnt even open cause it was so thick). Track was primarily dry...

Bilstein shocks
Halltech intake
Carbotech front brake pads
PSS stock size tires

Enjoy...

Is it just me or were there several accidents on the way?

Nice video.

Nice video.
Notice that the driver of the car is assigned stand on the track to hold the yellow flag.

So is it closed for the season, or?

If they need to call police to make an accident report(for insurance company) or if there are injuries, they close the track for a while, otherwise just yellow flags and make people to slow down

sorry guys, i made the post through the Iphone, through the forum app, so it messed up the link, and now i can't even fix it in original post.

Yes, it was really foggy and cold. Aero is a big issue, i have a vid with the view of interior, and you can see how much movement the car gets! It gets really scary. I honestly don't feel comfortable going under 8 minutes.

So this time is 8:15, with cold, 2 accidents, and minor delay in the beginning because the guy i was with pressed "open" button on my double decker so the whole panel was in the way (I was going slow as we were trying to fix it).

I really want to get some semi slicks, I think i'll be able to cut another 30 seconds quite easily. I know the turns where i can go much faster, but i'm just not sure of the grip... and the back end is twitchy.

I do have a few vids from sunny days (so far about 20 laps in the Z), and actually one of them is when i caught air (all 4's)! I was recording both inside and outside, but i can't find anyone to help me combine the vids.

Just for the season. It's a very damp place as is, so ice build up is possible. GP track is open for two more weekends. This weekend i'm going to either N GP or Hockenheim ring...

Thanks good news. Been reading about bankruptcy and so worried. Drove it a month ago while on a family vacation. Need to go back next year for a "Ring" vacation (and Spa)

Looks like a lot of fun, but there is no room for a mistake. the rails and trees are within arms length.
