I have an '01 with this setup. Is it much better if any better than stock? The shocks were actually less expensive than the C5 generation from GMpartshouse and the rear sway is a little thicker. Everything else is stock.
Any thoughts? just curious, I haven't hit the track with it yet.
Thanks guys!

Fresh shocks are better than 12 year old shocks so the C6Z ones will definitely be better than your old ones. From what I've read the damping rates are pretty close so they should be fine.
On the rear sway bar, according to Pfadt the rear C6Z bar is a bit stiffer than the C5Z one. This should help dial out a lot of the understeer that the car has when set up stock. You might find that it's too much but until you drive it on the track there's no way to know for sure. What tires (and sizes) are you running?

Stock tires. Actually, I was asking about this because I started looking into your Johnny O' packages and I kinda' want that....
I haven't installed the shocks yet but I'm about to.
Thanks for the reply!
