Default C7 at the Road Course???

Has anyone taken one of these new bad boys to the track yet? What are your impressions? How do you rate them next to C5 or C6 cars at the track?

I was on track with two of them last weekend at Homestead. One driver was a beginner and I think the other was advanced. My student and I were on course with the beginning Vette and the car appeared to handle well even though the driver had much to learn. The speed in the straights was impressive and the car sounded great watching from the paddock.

Seeing one in person was sweet... The rear end still doesn't do it for me but the car overall looks great.

I think that was in the video that I posted,a yellow C7. If so it was a little hard to tell how the car performs on the track as it was not being driven very hard. One of the editors from one of the Vette magazines was driving it and taking people for rides.

I'm with you, I've been chomping at the bit to see one properly driven at the track. No such luck yet.

Hoping that it won't be long until we see another GM assault on the 'Ring...

Seeing how much time the C7 shaves off the C6 times there will tell us everything we need to know.

I know they already tested there...but no release of lap times by GM tells me they think there's more in it. They were fine tuning the suspension set ups last go round...next time it'll be "official".

There were a BUNCH of them on track at Monterey during the Reunion weekend, driven by pro drivers. Also...there is a new car magasine (CAN'T REMEMBER THE NAME) WHICH TESTS THE c7, THE f12 fERRARI, AND THE 911s pORSCHE AT Laguna Seca. IIRC lap times in the 1:37s for all three.

And by then the C7Z---or whatever they choose to call it---will be ready and they'll lower that time yet again.
