17" all around on a C5Z?
I have 4 sets of stock rims and use all the 18's for track setup except one set (17/18) for street tires.
That means I have 6 17" rims sitting in my side yard doing nothing.
Here is what I was thinking, why not put my street tires on 17's all around and free up one more pair of 18's for track use.
Tire size could still be staggered (or not).
The only down side is they are 9.5 wide so might be a little bulgey with some tire sizes, but all I do is drive around town a little on the street tires.
Stock calipers would fit fine all over & offset in the rear adjusted with spacers on my (long) arp studs.
Am I missing something here or does it sound ok?

I widened 17x9.5 to 17x11.5 to run 335s on the rear on my C6. Check with Eric Vaughn in Monrovia, CA or Weldcraft in MI.

Mine were done by Weldcraft over four years ago so there's a good chance it costs more now but they were $200 ea. plus shipping.
I started with O.E. Wheels from forum sponsor JW Motoring.
Many things determine the fit so plan carefully.

I run 18's all around at the track and 17's all around on the street. I've never had an issue with it. I do turn off traction control every time I get in the car rain or shine but I don't think that matters much either.
I like it cause I can run cheaper Nitto 555 275's all around for the street.

I have a square 17" setup I run at the track, and I have to run in Comp mode or all-off. Otherwise the system goes nuts thinking the rear wheels are spinning too fast.
This is in my 2002 Coupe (not sure how that compares to a C5Z).

Hi froggy!
Love watching your youtube videos. I learned a lot!!
Here's some pics of my
CCW Classics Race Ver.
17x10F
17x11R
315/35/17 All around Toyo R888
Some pics are lower than other due to lowered on stock bolts.(Thanks to Froggy)
front bulges out about an inch, but haven't had any rubbing/scrapping on the streets and canyon road with stock suspension w stock bolts all the way low.
