Kumho V710 shortage
What is it with the shortage of V710's for C6 Z06? I emailed Kumho and they said that it will be SIX to NINE MONTHS!!!! before they have any 335/30-19's!!!!?!!! I have a whole set of wheels set aside just for these tires but I only have fronts (still in the foil wrapper) and I don't want to mount them until I get the companion rears. How am I supposed to feel about this?

While no official words or press release it really looks like Kumho has all but abandoned their R-compound tires
they even closed their tech center in Ohio a couple of years ago
I have heard rumors of a new V720 but, that is all I have heard ... rumors not facts or possible time frame

I want to thank you for your help and the courteous response. But this is a sad state of affairs for us C6 Z06 owners who go through a lot of tires and want variety. First the Excta XS disappears and now the V710. I'm now stuck between Hoosier R-6's or Nitto NT05's and although they are both good tires I really think the V710's fill in a practical middle ground. (I've tried a couple of sets of Michelin Cups but they really didn't work for me although now I may have to give them another try.)
If you happen to get any more intel on this please let us know. I personally know a dozen Z06 guys who regularly and frequently track our cars out here in Los Angeles and I'd be glad to share the information with them.
Now I've got to figure out how to use the front V710's I have. Do I sub them in for worn out R6's or NT05's?
