Hi All,

I'm a noobie to this section, but I've recently had the privilege of driving on a track and now I'm hooked. I'm looking to do an HPDE event mid August, but need to purchase a helmet beforehand. Do you know of a place near Chicago where I can try on helmets to learn what size I need? Thanks for your help!

I bought mine at winner's circle in Joliet a few years back. Northstar Motorsports in Barrington has them on display. Pegasus Auto Racing isn't too far into Wisconsin. Pretty sure the store at Blackhawk farms had a few if you cat h them open on a track day. I'm sure there are more...

Here's the helmet article I did for Vintage Motorsport magazine. You're smart to try them on before purchasing a helmet. You just can't buy these things online.
