new hpde/autox product in development your thoughts...
we all know the fastest way to improve lap times is to stay "planted in your seat" but the use of a harness with stock seats is problematic because of the placement of the sub belt. Instaling true race seats limits the comfort of the cars for daily driving.. I am working with another company to come up with an inexpensive solution to this problem. It will give you the ability to stay planted in your car just using the stock seat belts. and you can install and remove it in seconds with no modification to the car at all... I've heard of organizations that ban the use of harnesses with stock seats... opinions please

I'd be worried about adding anything to your factory seat belt so as not to mess up the factory mechanism. I keep seeing angel pads being thrown out there is great; but honestly my hips don't seem to be the part moving around a lot; it's my upper body that goes swaying back and forth.
And without a real idea as to what kind of product you are trying to develope not sure how much input we can give.

we just started talking about this project a few days ago. when in a meeting with the President of a company that has developed a new kind of grip material. he uses it to make pads to keep wheelchair patients from slipping down. I thought we could make a few simple universal seat covers that would attach to the seat with straps and keep the hpde autocross guys from slipping around in the car its pretty neat stuff..were talking about making a few prototypes and under nondisclosure agreements letting a few guys test them..

This is my $35 solution to the problem.
That and the factory belt ratcheted down hold all but my upper shoulders. Of course I've done the bolster mod too.

To those of you wondering how effective a $10 roll of Walmart shelf liner stuff is, it's awesome. I expect what trackmanz is suggesting is a higher quality alternative and I don't doubt it'll be effective.
