I use Stoptech Street Performance pads for the street, and Cobalt Friction XR2 pads for racing.

I used to use R4 on the rear of my turbo Miata. They were decent pads but I changed to XP12s as they gave me more bite and settled the rear of the car better under heavy braking.

I ran them for several years on various BMWs. They hold up well to heat and are very consistent. I don't like pads with very high initial bite and these fit my driving style. I have run one set with my stock C5Z brakes and was quite happy. I have switched to the C6Z brakes and want to run single piece pads, and Porterfield doesn't make that in R4, so I'm going to have to change.
