SCCA T2 restrictor plate dyno numbers
I am interested in what horsepower guys are making with a stock LS6 with headers running the 55mm restrictor plate.
I am actually racing in NASA ST3/ST2 and am looking for a way to easily switch between classes based on car counts by simply removing or adding the restrictor plate. I'm targeting around 330 hp with and 395 without. I want to know if anyone running a restrictor plate will share their dyno numbers.

Stock LS6 with headers dynoed 320 RWHP at Putnam on the nasa dyno, without 367. I believe it was detuned in the first place also

Went to the dyno today to try out the restrictor plate.
With 55mm restrictor plate and no detuning the car made 357.
With 55mm restrictor plate and detuning we got it down to 332.
With out restrictor plate and still with the detune it made 403.
For reference the engine is a stock LS6 with long tubes, open exhaust, custom intake.
Detuning was done via pulling the throttle percentages, the lowest percentage needed was I believe 78%. The car made more power than I wanted without the restrictor but I think I can ballast up for it.
So I should be able to successfully run ST3 or ST2 by pulling the restrictor plate and adding some ballast.

Because we had to pull throttle percentages, we were able to make the 330hp curve pretty flat to the rev limiter. It hits 330hp about 500 rpm later than it would if we didn't use the restrictor so there's a slight disadvantage to the restrictor plate.
Without the restricter, the 400hp curve is not flat, it's not like stock either because of the way we pulled throttle percentages.
I will be giving up a lot to the big motors with flat curves in ST2, but at least when I run in that class I will have a fighting chance.
