damn thanks for sharing sounds like a hell of a trip, i deffinately want to do a combo trip someday and do the 24 huers race and then hit the ring as well

Wow, nice blog! A bucket list item to be sure if I ever find myself in Germany (probably not very likely now that I'm retired). How did you know the Auto Blog folks would be there? Serendipity? And meeting Sabine, you had quite a Ring experience regardless of how many times you might have been there.

Great memories, I'm sure (and jealous)!

Thanks for the kind words. I had no idea the list was going to be there, I just ran into them at one of the corners. It all defiantly made the trip a LOT more memorable. They even worked me into one of their videos

On my first trip there the Nordschleife was closed due to fog, but the GP track was open. Spent the afternoon getting my butt kicked by a bunch of Porsches and some crazies on crotch rockets.
Last trip there the weather was perfect, and the long course was open. Great track, with lots of elevation changes and blind curves (and crazy drivers). Good time!
