Default Pocono Infield courses - paving

I got to tour of the 'new' Pocono infield courses last Friday. All of the courses are getting new wider pavement - final top coat will go down this April. All of the tracks are 45' wide with new 2 stage curbing. All of the courses can be run in both directions, with multple
configurations possible with several new sections of black top interconnecting the North, South and East courses. Reportedly new classroom, restrooms/showers, and small concessions stand near the garages. I believe the old ARCA lounge/restroom building is gone.

Looks like the wider track and curbing are going make the infield courses a lot nicer - and more interesting (read that faster!!).

Come and try the new North Course w/CVCC on May 4 & 5

How were the bumps coming off/going on the banking after Nascar T3? How about in back, after the tunnel turn?

Without the top layer being down, it's hard to tell. We were told that the transitions will be smoothed out. Looks like a first class job so far.

The last turn of the north course used to upset my ABS. The series of bumps were just right to throw my ABS in jitters. Only place it ever happened, and it was repeatable, lap after lap.

I kike bumps and irregular tracks, It makes other slow down. Plus you need to really know every bump out there. I think I shifted by the bump. I'd be lost now. Tunnel Turn was great in early 2000. Other would hit the brakes and I'd fly right over it being use to off-shore racing. CVCC always a great event.

Cumberland Valley Corvette Club. May 4th and 5th. Contact Dave Walter at: davidjwalter @ verizon .net
They are pretty informal, no website to sign up. Dave will send you an application you can mail in with payment. $285 for both days (advanced group, more if you want an instructor).

Thanks Argonaut, that's correct - Dave is the event chair and point of contact. if the above address doesn't work, try it with a period after the "j" - david.j.walter@verizon.net - not sure if it makes a difference or not.

This is an annual event for the CVCC club and it is run as an HPDE, uses the North infield course in a clockwise direction

I think it's time to return to Pocono. NASA has a three day event July 12-14, I think using double infield. Not sure I can make the May event, although that price is silly good.

The Ramada is the host hotel and giving a discount for our group.
We'll have tech at the hotel Friday late afternoon/evening (also Sat A.M. at track or as needed)

Don't worry about the enclosed trailer - lots of drivers at this track event. And . . eh, what problem? I don't see a problem You don't have a problem and I don't have a problem - and I am NOT in denial!!!!
