Default Help me choose between two tires, PSS or ExtremeContact DW

I currently have Continental ExtremeContact DW tires installed on my Z51 C6. The tires are stock sizes on stock rims, but at 24,000 miles they are worn almost to the wear bars and no longer have great grip.
I really want the Michelin Pilot Supersport tires, but my only size choice is 305/30/19 and 265/35/18.
I have been searching and reading for hours and know that these larger sizes will work with no scraping or TC issues, but will the grip be worse than the Conties since the tires will be pinched on the 10 inch rim?
I am looking for better grip that won't break the bank like the Michelin Pilot Sport AS. Mostly a daily driver with agressive weekend driving. No track days to date, but hope to do one or two soon.
Thanks.
Additionally, will I need to change alignment settings?

I've had really good experiences with the hankook ventus v12's back on my 335i. I had them for a good 30k and they still had decent tread left. Pretty sticky and relatively cheap compared to the ECDW and Michelins. Good in the wet too.

Don't know how well it will translate to the vette though :o

ok .. .that may have been a little harsh but, the point is that the Michelin Pilot Super Sports are a significantly better tire

and if you go Michelin go with the 255/40-18 and 295/35-19 sizes

You do realize the Michelin Pilot Super Sports do not come in 295/35/19 (according to your website)?
They do come in 295/30/19, is that what you meant?
