Default Rim diameter question

Hi,

Ok, I posted before to see if 295/30/18s and 345/30/19 were ok for the nannies and abs. My question now is, I have a rim size of 18x9.5 and according to tire rack, the sport cup tire only has a rim diameter range of 10" to 11". Will this 295 be ok on a 9.5" rim?

I need to be sure as these are my track rims and tires.

Thank you

Chances are they will be fine. They will mount and won't pop off, but you will be sacrificing contact patch. Do you already own these tires? Because they do come in 285 as well as 265.

I just have the rears (tire rack delivered today actually) I held off on the fronts because of my situation.

Would a 265 front and a 345 rear be too much of a difference?

The 285 is also still for only a 10"-11"

There is a 265/35 that is 9-10.5"

I'd go with the 285. The section width is considerably narrower than the 295s. If a 10" wheel can run a 12.1" wide tire(295) than I don't see why a 9.5" wheel can't run a 11.4" wide tire (285).

P.S.
I just checked the Michelin website and the 285 is approved for a 9.5" wheel.

Oh that is the best news I heard in a while!! Thank you!! Time to go blow some money !

Now I just need to hope the 25.1 diameter size for the 285 isn't to small. That will be a 2.1 inch difference front to rear
