315/30/18 Hoosier 305/35/18 MT
Ok im in the process of picking out wheels for my car, i am kinda torn between doing 17's or 18's in the back but having 18" DRs in the past and the cost is killer so i'm trying to figure out something.
Now according to Summits website the 315/30/18 Hoosier DR specs are
Tire Diameter: 26.00 in.
Section Width: 11.70 in.
Tread Width: 11.00 in.
And the Mickey Thompson 305/35/18 specs are
Tire Diameter: 26.39 in.
Section Width: 12.50 in.
Tread Width: 11.50 in.
Now if this is true the Hoosier is a little bit more narrow which is fine by me if i did the 18's it would be the TSW nurburgring in the 18x10.5 and guys seem to fit the 305 MT just fine on those with the narrow body C6. If the hoosiers are just as wide or a little bit less wide as the 305 MTs these would work perfect for 2 reasons. 1. COST 2. I prefer the hoosier DRs.
So anyone with experience with the widths of these tires and how true they are would be awesome.
Thanks!
