Default Street pad recommendation for a StopTech BBk

Moving to a StopTech BBK and in the middle of the install now. I plan on running DT70/DT60 pads on the track and would like a compatible pad on the street to make bedding on or before the track easier. I hear Hawk doesn't make a street pad for ST-60's and ST-40's.

Any suggestions to a compatible street and trach brake pad combo?

Thanks for any advice,
Sean

I have posted this before, and I have no affiliation with Stoptech, BUT....I run Stoptech Street Performance pads for my ST-60 fronts and ST-40 rears. I have bedded them as the website specifies, and they stop perfectly when cold on the street, and also stop very well for the occasional track day at MSR Cresson which is only 10 miles from my house. I run them on a stock 04 Z06 with Stoptech brakes and slicks, and my friend runs them on a stock 04 CE model Z06 with stock calipers and NT-05s. When I called Stoptech to compliment them, they responded that their pads are good for 1300 degrees F!!!...................Oh, and they are CHEAP

Thanks for the info. My car is 90% track right now and I have struggled to keep 2000+ degree Carbotech XP-20's in check on stock Z51 calipers and Hoosiers.

I'm moving to a BBK because I'm obviously harder on my brakes than I think I am. I want extreme duty on the track, not an occasional track event. Trying to save my safety and a bit of money in the long run...

Any other thoughts?

Carbotech 1521 for stree, that way you can use same rotors and just have to swap pads.

Hey Adam, good to hear from you. I knew Carbotech had a street and track pad for use with Stoptech BBK. I'm looking for any other combo that may be an option as well so I can make a logical choice. I've heard very good things about the Hawk track pads and thought I might try them out. If they don't make a compatible street pad, I might shy away due to pad compatibility.

In the mean time, could you let me know pricing on the 1521's and an XP12/10 combo for the Stoptech ST-60 and ST-40 calipers?

Thanks!

P.S. - never got those stickers, lol
