Who makes the lowest race seat mount?
Hardbar claims to have the lowest. Is that the case? Any other alternatives? My present race seat and mount is the Sparco Evo 2 Plus on Piper Motorsports custom brackets but these require removing the rear studs and using a plate under the car to support a mount for the lap belt. I would like to consider alternatives that use the existing mounts before I go mucking up the existing design.

Maybe you need to consider a different seat, check out this thread:

(and just as a footnote, before I post my own thread, this seat now resides in my C6Z.)

You can get the seat to within 3/16 of an inch of the car's floor with the Hardbar rails and that is because it is sitting on the horizontal part of the Hardbar rail. I have 17 inch wide seats and they have to sit on top of the vertical part of the Hardbar rail so the bottom is about 2 inches off the floor which leaves me just enough room to mount my sub belts to the bars.

I have had Corbeau slider, Arizen slider, and Hardbar fixed mounts. The Hardbar sits the lowest like others said I don't see how you could get it an lower without cutting the interior away. Brackets are awesome.

I took my NRG side mount seat and made simple mounts to further incline the seat in a fixed position. The rear of the seat sits on the carpet and I now have 2" clearance above my helmet.
