Better to run r6 or street tires for autoX in cold
My hoosiers take about a lap and a half to two laps to really start gripping at track days, however I have an autoX coming up and wonder if I should just leave the slicks at home and stay with my BF sports on rear and proxy 4 up front since it's so cold out. I doubt they would even be warm by my last run...
Or would a cold slick still be better than a street tire...? I am looking for a set of A6 but nothing has tempted me price wise, this is just a fun thing, not for competition..

I don't think R6's will do you any good in an auto-x, especially a cold one. Even A6's can be hard to get up to temp in colder weather events since the vette is relatively light and fits such large sizes.

Cold R6's are better than cold street tires.
I didnt know that active tire warmers arent SCCA legal, but not all autocross is SCCA. If you show up with these to my local autocross youre more than welcome to run:
