Default Video - GingerMan Long Course - 2.14 Miles

I have not found a lot of good comparisons prior to my test at GingerMan last week online to review, so I thought I would contribute for once. Think I finally got it figured out, other than my car is loose thru the entrance to the new extension, but that's my fault, it's a Road America setup (loose left, stable right).

We were centering the steering wheel which was off a little, and, well, the driver didn't snap it on all the way as you see on the 3rd lap.

This is an SCCA T1 car, stock LS3, 315/345 tall tire setup, ballasted to 3550 lbs, about 3600 as it runs these laps.

3550 lbs? Holy crap.

Is that the penalty to be allowed the brake upgrades?

Nice job John !!

I have had the steering wheel fall off twice in SOMEONES car twice in one NASA TT session @ Mid-Ohio....first time thought was a fluke, 2nd time I knew it wasn't....fortunately it happened in seemingly non consequential areas...first time on exit of T8 .., second time in middle of front straight (125mph-ish)

Good Luck next month !!

If it keeps up, the corvettes will be able to have 40/60 weight distribution.

Danny,

I loved the video Pete put up of your laps there. Need to find a way to rip the audio to put on my gym playlist. Plus that level of car control is outside of my skill level, just amazing talent!

The base weight is 3450 +50 for the bigger wheel/tire +50 for brake package.
We carry 270 lbs of ballast to make minimum weight. It is nice to be able to put it where you want to.

How the heck does the steering wheel fall off? I just put a quick release setup in mine, and it's my biggest fear!
