Time for the way back machine folks. What was your first ever racing event. Mine was in 1968, Auto Xing my new 1969 Z28 Camaro with the N.C. State University Sports Car Club in a school parking lot. Ran across this pic when I was going through an old photo album. Safety was really lax, notice the proximity of spectators and lack of helmet. Did OK, placed second in class. Post up your experience and a pic if you have one.

Mine was with the SCCA in 1972. I built a '64 Corvette Roadster and ran in the B Production class. Gotta see if I can find a picture to post.

Ah, soo far back will I have to set the dials, haha.

I did my first SCCA solo event in April 2008 with my '90 Vette at Route 66 Dragway parking lot. Lots of fun, I just didn't get into a regular schedule with it.

First road course was this year April with the Z06. First time driving around a track was at touring speed around Autobahn in Joliet, IL, which was actually March 2012. But first time at speed was April 2012 around Blackhawk Farms in South Beloit, IL. It is just soo much fun and such an experience, it motivates me to get up at 4 am to make a day of it.

First timed event was May of 2006, Placed 3rd in my class. .8 seconds away from first


The First race was March of 2007, Placed 6th driving in the rain for the first time ever

Still cutting my teeth. Did a couple autocross events back in 2004 or so but my first proper road course experience was just last May.

1st hpde in 2004 with the CVCC, Pocono north course rain and blowing snow. Track temps were 31*, and I was on used F1's Had a great time with them and still do.

August 2006 at Rd Atl with Panoz Racing school in my TA. It was lead follow only but I was hooked right away. Miss that TA.

I used to do a lot of Panoz days, I remember that car
I did a DE day at RA in '99, did a bunch of track days from then till '03. I started TT'ing in '03 and got hooked pretty fast.
