I was at a used race parts place this morning in Mooresville and he had 4 or 5 COT wings with end plates and brackets (reasonably priced).

Did they have any COT front splitters?

I don't know, but I'd imagine they do. It's a huge warehouse, give 'em a call. Those splitters are very plentiful. I had 20 of them back in February but have sold them all.

Do you run that style on your car? Is it a good fit for the C5? Every time I think about a wing/splitter something breaks on my car, so I am basically asking for the other C5 people here.

Yes, I had one that was was fitted to the Ecklers 2" splitter. It was tougher than hell compared to all the other splitters available.

After replacing the nose on my car I went with the 4" ACP splitter and there's no room left to put anything below it, otherwise I'd attach one of those COT splitters to it.

Now that I re-read Jody's post, I see that he went to Circle Track Warehouse. I went to 2nd Chance yesterday. He also had several COT wings and tegris splitters.

When did they change names? Probably the same time they changed which door you walk into. It has been a while since I was over there.

I remember when it was 2nd Chance, but I guess it was recently that he changed names. The first door has been closed for a while, I think that is for the office area, the middle door (comes in where the counter is) is the one I go in.

I was there looking for some insulation, when I saw the COT wings right by the door in that rack.

Ya'll are lucky to have such good racing parts supplies stores in your area. Every time I walk into the local parts stores around here I usually get "I ain't never seen that before!" or "I've never heard of that."

What are the splitters made from?

NASCAR splitters are made from Tegris, which is a very dense, very heavy composite material. The NASCAR guys run it because it is very rugged in terms of rubbing on the race surface and hitting stuff with it. It is also somewhat difficult/messy to cut. It is sturdy enough for Jody to cut down trees at CMP.

For those of you asking about putting them on the front of your C5s, yes it can be done and Jody ran one for quite a while. However, it is wider than the front end of your car, wider than your tires. So unless you plan on shaving it or sectioning somehow, be aware of what you are getting into. And these are lips only, so you will have to put a section of something behind it for the undertray.

The COT wings are carbon fiber, with a myriad of end plates from carbon fiber or aluminum.

I've had 2 different sizes of the splitters. One was much smaller than the new ones. That was the one we mounted to my Ecklers splitter.

TL, is Crawford still in business. I know they are no longer making any of the DP cars.
