PS2's or NT05s? Stock Z06 wheels or?
I have been going back on tire's for about 2 weeks now and it's keeping me from sleeping at night.
The PS2s get great reviews on the track and on the street. They seem like they perform well in the dry and wet, have good feeback but are expensive. Yesterday I thought I was ready to order 265/40-17 & 315/30-18 PS2s but was told the front/rear's should have a min difference of 0.5inches.
The recommended pairing was with 245/45-17 (dia 25.7").
For those of you that are running PS2s at driving events what sizes are you running?
I could just avoid this whole mess and get the PS2s in stock sizes. In the back of my head I am still thinking maybe I should just save myself $600 and get the NT05s. I would love to do an HDPE event this year, and have a tire that is decent in the rain. I don't need the best rain tires but something that's not dangerous.
Feedback is great appreciated.
Thank you,
John

I went thru 5 or 6 sets of NT05's before switching to slicks, it is a great track tire for a great price, while they are not fantastic in the rain, they still did just fine.
Before switching to a slick I almost bought a set of Azenis RT-615K, its the NT05's direct price competition.

I'm running factory sizes 265 & 295 on the Michelin PS2's. I can't imagine going down in size on the front. I wouldn't want to have less traction up front. Who recommended going with a 245?

I have been running the NT05 for a couple of years on a 04 Z06, sizes 275/40 ZR 17 and 295/35 ZR 18. On the street the ride is improved and they are not as loud when driving on concrete roads compaired to the F1's . On track the NT05 have more grip than the F1's and will last you 3-8 track days depending upon your driving style. The only drawback is if you get a flat they are not EMT.

Thanks for the feedback, I have been reading mix reviews regarding their performance in the rain.
Did you ever get caught in the light or heavy rain with them?

I have been caught in very heavy down pours, and if you take your time your fine, you can cruise at the speed limit with out issue
