Default I heard Pocono was repaved...

I think very recently (April). Has anyone been on it yet? The NASCAR drivers who tested there after it was completed said all the bumps are gone and it is pretty smooth and much faster. Not sure if they did the infield (probably not).

There is an exotic car rally coming up where they will have side by side rolling racing down the front strait (airport style). I may go up and check it out.

From their web site: April 4, 2012 "The Raceway is in the final stages of repaving the entire track and it’s essentially a brand new track. [...]"

I hear it was only the tri oval, not the infield.

Well hopefully they got rid of the nasty bump leaving the north infield portion onto the tri oval.

That would be nice, but I'm not counting on it.

It was more fun rough. Especially the Tunnel Turn.

YES the NASCAR track has been repaived and it is real smooth. I was on it last weekend with the AUDI club of NJ. They ran an excellent HPDE on Sunday and I was there to instruct. There was NOT one single incident all day and we ran counter-colckwise in the AM and clockwise inthe afternoon.

None of the infield roads have been repaived, but the oval is as smooth as a baby's bottom.. NO humps, groves, bumps or errors. Initialy, I thought it was going to be a boring day, but it was just the opposite. Great fun, and NO accidents.

You got to get there to check it out.
