I still don't understand how it can turn with two 4" tires in the center front of the car. Does it have something to do with the relationship between the narrow front and wide rear? Is it some aero principle being implemented?

Burning Brakes
The test driver in the R&T interview stated that the car "uses half the gas" of the other cars - with a 1.6 liter and the aerodynamics, I can see it. I wonder how FIA will sort this out if the car actually is allowed to compete?

I love it! So innovative. To keep anything alive, you've got to be moving forward and advancing. This may be slightly ahead of it's time....but I hope not!
Top pick had the background darkened to enhance the look of the DeltaWing. The pic is real, but it's been spruced up.

It will be nice to see something different out there. Kudos to the development team, and to Nissan, who is now backing the team.

I'm gonna be honest with you, it reminds me so much of Breedlove's Bonneville car that I keep thinking that's the way this car is going to behave. Obviously that's wrong thinking, though.
Frankly, I care not too much about the way a race car looks as much as how it performs. I think as long as they keep their expectations for LeMans in check, and as long as we understand where they are from a maturity viewpoint (taking baby steps), at the very least it's going to be fun to watch!
Have a good one,
Mike

Money's Money and Nissan was willing to come on board. You'd think Ford would have been all over this with them pushing eco-boost and all.
At least the tires are American. Hopefully they don't have a blow-out and roll it over

the article was written in 2010 when the DW was being proposed as the next gen Indycar. Firestone is the Indycar tire supplier. When the project shifted to a Le Mans prototype, Michelin became a partner

It should be renamed, The Phallic Dart!
I'll be at Le Mans this summer to see it run. Hopefully, I'll get there early enough in the week to see a lot of its detail.
