Im very interested in this kit, and am just waiting on the funds (it seems every time im ready to modify something, something else breaks! its gone from last winter to this spring to the summer to fall ).

I have a few questions -

do the base c6 wheels (5 spoke 2005 through 07 I think) work with wheel spacers and what size will it take? I remember seeing some picture with black painted 5spokes and the plastic mock up caliper, but didnt see anything about wheel spacer sizing

does the caliper bracket set allow you to use the base rotors and the larger c6z rotors or does it require new brackets? I recall something about some sort of spacers, but am not totally sure.

About the balance - is this set up to use the c6 z51 rear calipers or the base rear calipers?
I checked the ap website and it looks like the 8350 may be closer matched to the z51 rear, while the 8352 is closer to the base rear to get that 1.8 f/r ratio that the factory is using on the z51 and z06.

factory calipers:
Z06 front caliper: 3x((33mm/2)x(33mm/2))pi=2565.895 square mm
Z06 rear caliper: 2x((30mm/2)x(30mm/2))pi= 1413.715 square mm
Base/Z51 front caliper: 2x((40.35mm/2)x(40.35mm/2))pi= 2557.45 square mm
Base rear caliper: ((44.75mm/2)x(44.75mm/2))pi =1572.81 square mm
Z51 rear caliper: ((41.6mm/2)x(41.6mm/2))pi= 1359.18 square mm

front to rear piston area ratios:

Z06f/Z06r = 1.82
Basef/Baser 2557.45/1572.81 = 1.63
Z51f/Z51r 2557.45/1359.18 = 1.88

AP Front Calipers:
cp 8350 38.1mm and 41.3mm: 2479.74 square mm
cp 8352 41.3mm and 44.5mm: 2894.93 square mm

base rear caliper f/r ratios with ap fronts:

cp8352/base: 2894/1572= 1.84
cp8350/base: 2479/1572= 1.58

z51 rear caliper f/r ratios with ap fronts:
cp8352/z51: 2894/1359= 2.13
cp8350/z51: 2479/1359= 1.82

last - is there anything 2 piston in the ap catalog that will match the 8350 or 8352?

the closest Ive found was from their performance (street) category:
CP5317 41.3mm area 1339.65 - this one looks like the best matched 2 piston rear to the front cp8350 at roughly a 1.85 front to rear ratio

would you recommend this and is it possible to get a general price for the rear setup?

The narrow base C6 wheels do not fit without a spacer, but the C6ZO6 wheels fit easily. Basically, you need 53mm from the face of the rotor to the inside of the wheel spoke. The slight difference in moment (torque) from a 12.81 diameter to a 13.0 or 13.3 diameter rotor is not significant, and the 12.81 AP rotor with 70 vanes and very thick faces is superior to any other rotor available, especially any OE replacement rotor. Speaking of availability, the AP 12.81 rotor is used widely in various professional NASCAR series, is always in stock and for that reason, has an economy of scale because of the large volume. On a special order basis, we can provide larger rotors, but it is not necessary, will have a larger gyro effect and will be more expensive.

Love my AP-T1 Brakes.... Can you tell me more about the DSUNO Pad? I'm using the DS 1.11 for the track and will put on the DS2500 if I decide to street it...Still using OEM rear callipers.. weren't you going to do something for rears?
