Default HANS for sale

Gentlemen,

Just today, I received a "heads-up" from a fellow SCCA racer, about a new-in-the-box, 20º HANS, size extra large, sliding tethers, for sale in San Diego. We do not know the seller, but can get contact information for anyone who is interested. The seller is asking $450, which is an excellent price if the item is infact new, with a current sticker.

If it is a pro model I will take it. I live in So. Cal and can meet up with him today to make the transaction. Please pm me his contact info.

Thanks,

Hi Charley,

This is not the CF pro model - I am certain he would be asking a lot more $$$s if it were. Since you are first in line, are you still interested?

Manny,

It looks like you are next in line, and I sent you a PM with the seller's contact info. As of this morning, he still has it. Please let us know right away if this does not work out for you so that Jim can have a crack at it before it's gone.

We know now that this was purchased new in July of 2009, and never used. Be aware that the SCCA (and possibly others) has started paying attention to the dates on these. And remember, Gentlemen, I have no stake whatsoever in this, so do your homework. I am simply passing along info on what appears to be a good deal on a nice piece of racing equipment.

Thanks,
Ed

Sorry, Manny!

I checked again, and Bret definitely has it listed as a 20º XL. (Sort of like someone advertising their wheels as " either 17" or 18" diameters ".) I should just stay out of these things!

Ed

I am really glad it worked out for you - MISinformation and all. Let us now hope that you never need its service!

I shall keep your interest in mind if we hear of any others.

As has been said many times before, then you disable air bags by installing race seats and harnesses, you lose the protection to the neck and that has to be off-set with the Hans Device. This one is for my passengers so that we have equal protection.
Cheers
