Default What's up with John B Tires?

When I try to order, All I get is an automated reply. Did they go out of business and just leave the web site up?

Hi Jim,

Are you attempting to get used tires from someplace called something like "JB Tires", or from John Berget? There was a thread a few months ago, with these two suppliers being confused.

Have you tried that old fashioned device called a telephone?

You need to call John on the phone. He is a good guy and will tell you exactly what he has in stock. Im pretty sure you can't order from John on the net....

Yep. In fact I'm going to be needing to give him a call in a month or so for another set of Toyos for my Miata.

Have a good one,
Mike

John B tires is/seems to be a fake/scam site.

John Berget is the real deal.

Just spoke with John, the other site is a 'knock off' from his name, he is aware of it..........NO RELATION.

Gentlemen,

HAS IT YET BEEN ESTABLISHED whether our original poster Jim is referring to JohnBTires, JBRacing tires, or John Berget?

My understanding is that there are a couple, and maybe SEVERAL, places with names like this, selling used racing rubber. I found this thread from some time ago, where there was a similar misunderstanding:

http://forums.corvetteforum.com/auto...er-danger.html

It is truly unfortunate, but this is potentially where the ubquitous Google search engine is NOT your friend, and where the internet transaction NOT involving any real people comes back on you.

We are not familiar with those other web sites or individuals, except having seen experiences posted about them.

WE ARE FAMILIAR with the REAL MAN, with tons of personal racing experience himself, who now warehouses, and offers for sale good, used racing tires and very favorable prices. His name is JOHN BERGET, and his telephone number is 262-740-0180. As other posters here can attest, John supplies racers all over North America with scrubs of every description, and has for many years. No disappointments!

I bought tires from http://johnbtires.com/category.php?category=1 last winter so at some point they were legit. The tires that were delivered were as ordered. However, now no phone is listed on the web site. I noticed that after I had ordered my tires, John B Tires (not John Berget Race Tires) would send out listings of inventory. I'll give John Berget a call. Thanks guys!

Jim

Update: I just got off the phone with John and am now wait-listed for the sizes I need.

Thanks Again!

I have bought many sets of tires from John Berget, I always call him, he always takes exceptionally good care of me. There are others selling used race tires that I am sure are legit and great to deal with but I have stuck with John because of a long and happy relationship buying from him

Rick
