Default where to plasti-dip for autox races

looking for the most important places to put plasti-dip, painters tape, etc to protect my paint during an autox.

im thinking:
side view mirrors,
rear brake duct area where z06 scoops go
a little around the bottom of the front fender.
what else?

Blue tape is the sure sign of a rookie.

You plan on hitting a cone with your mirrors? Front bumper is the main point of impact.

This makes the job much quicker and easier: http://www.soloperformance.com/Road-...lm_p_1519.html

You're also going to hit cones with the lower sides of the car, between the front and rear wheels. Be sure to put plastic there.

One thing I find with my car is that it's hard to get cone guts off the plastic. It just doesn't want to come off. But at least my actual paint is still pretty darn clean.

im more concerned with small rocks, etc picked up by the hoosiers than I am about cones. I run relatively clean cone wise, but I do know what you mean about the cone guts on the side. Ive yet to hit a cone with my bumper, are you driving over them? ill clip em with a wheel or right behind front tire, but thats about it.

I have raced and hit cones for years with my camaro and now my vette. As long as you club is not using giant rock hard cones then the marks will come off. the Mothers R3( Racing rubber remover) makes it wipe right off
