New nose job....
I was over at the Vette doctor this morning and the new nose, fenders and splitter are installed for fitting.
Here are a couple of pictures of the nose and splitter:
We're covering the front opening (except for the brake ducts) with aluminium.
They've fitted a brace/bracket that is bolted to the frame rails and it is attached to the nose/fascia. The struts that go down to the splitter will attach to this brace through the fascia.
The bolts for this brace/bracket, along with the bolts that attach the fenders to the nose and the bracket (4 bolts) that holds the undertray are all easily accessible so that the whole nose & undertray can be removed pretty quickly and easily, if necessary.

The splitter is ACP, but the nose is Ecklers.
This is the 2nd Ecklers nose I've had and one thing we've noticed is that the bottom of the nose (that surface that mates with the splitter) is beveled up. We have to shim a wedge in it so that the front of the splitter is not pointed up. It's not a big deal, but something to deal with. I've not used an ACP nose, but I doubt the ACP one has that issue.
BTW, Ecklers is having a 15% discount sale this weekend so now would be a good time to buy one of the noses. It'll save over $60. I should buy another one.

Looks good! Will you be painting or wrapping? It seems a wrap is becoming the hot thing to do.

Nice Jody... I was going to cover my front bumper opening and turn signal holes as well, but it was nixed due to costing fascia mod points in PT. Can't wait to see how it turns out.

Any pics of the wedge you had to make? I was under the impression that the Ecklers nose was a private-labeled ACP. Also, I thought the front bumper openings came closed off? Did you cut the excess out since you're covering it all from the front?

His shop is here in Troutman. He works at a race shop during the day and he works on other stuff at the shop he has at his house in the evenings and weekends. I'm going over there on Wed evening if you want to go over with me, you're welcome to come along.
