WTB bolt in rollcage for c6z06
What are some good options for getting a bolt in roll cage for a c6z06 that would be nasa/sdda approved? Thanks in advance. Jerry

You could always buy my RSD 5point Chromoly bolt in roll bar and then ad on to it at a MUCH less expensive price. I'm located in York, Pa. Just take a little road trip up to VA. I'll meet you and done

Hey Jerry, I assume you are asking for a bolt in cage for racing purposes since you referenced NASA/SCCA?
If so, you may want to touch base with Jerry Onks at VetteSport in Smyrna, TN. He partners with Yoder Racing to make some really nice cages for C5 and C6's.

JD's I'd the best one I've seen, but there is not a bolt on cage that is appropriate for w2w racing. On JD's, in most rollover situations it would be more than enough, but the maximum possible force from a worst case scenario rollover would push the downtubes right past the gusset plates.
The only way to run the tubes directly to the top of the frame rails, is to pass through the bulkhead. There are no bolt on kits that do this.
If you have a kit that bolts the downtubes to the bulkhead, you might as well not have anything at all.
BTW, $1800 for what JD has is a steal.

We do have our Chassis bar products generally on the shelf, but it's not really comparing apples to apples if you're looking at a full weld in cage.

Thanks for all the thoughts guys. Not sure what I am going to do at this point. Not really thinking of doing a lot of wheel to wheel racing in my present car. It is still completely street legal and full interior with navigation, heat and air, heated seats (if the stock seats were in the car). I would like to do comp school, and running in TTU with lap times in the mid 1:28's at Road Atlanta and tops speeds at 167, I am wondering about my own safety. I'd like to do wheel to wheel, but probably needs to be in a different car. maybe I can sell my 59 and 67 and buy a done c5 to race. Again, thanks for the good advice. Jerry

the IO port link I posted sandwiches to the actual frame, not the bulkhead. Again, not promoting the product, but it is a frame kit, not one of those "bolt to the balsa wood" kits.

According to my installer this install is SCCA approved if you add the rest of his complete cage. That is why I went with him, he says he has his complete cage installed this way! approved be SCCA and NASA. I suggest you contact him. JD Give me a call if you need more info. 772 528 0669 as you can see he does really nice work.
