Default Rolex 24 Friday night dinner get together

Hi

Who wants to get together Friday night Jan 27th??

Anybody who will be in Daytona for the Rolex 24 and would like to get together Fri evening, let me know so I can get a head count to try to get enough space at a local restaurant.

We've been to the Stonewood Grill the last couple years, but Todd Z and the GT Racing Tires guys have recommended the Daytona Ale House on Int'l Speedway Blvd not far from the track.

Edited: Location will be Miller's Ale House-Daytona!!

Friday Jan 27th at 7:00PM

http://www.millersalehouse.com/DAYTONA.htm

In the map above you can see that the restaurant is right off ISB (Int'l Speedway Blvd) just down from the Speedway. The address indicates it's on ISB, but it isn't!!

It's on Indigo Drive, just off ISB. There's a Racetrac Gas Station across from where you need to turn in to access Indigo Drive. You go into the entrance to a shopping area with a Michaels, Steinmart, Staples, Dick's Sporting Goods, etc. - you'll probably see those signs, but nothing indicating the Ale House is back in there.

There is a traffic signal at the Racetrac/shopping center entrance. Once you turn in toward the shopping center (across from the gas station), turn left as soon as you can. Go down a couple hundred yards and the Ale House will be on the right, next to a furniture store.

I went to the other place I had mentioned, but they were not very interested in taking care of a group our size. They have a great menu, but they only wanted to do a fixed price pizza/salad/pasta buffet with me paying in advance at something like $15 each plus tax/gratuity. I wasn't interested in that, so we will go to Miller's Ale House!!

Absolutely!!

Will you be coming solo, or will you bring some other folks??

Bring as many as want to join us - just let me know how many so I can notify the restaurant.

We'll be getting together at Miller's Ale House, just down from the Speedway. Check out post# 1 for a map.

I'm planning on BJ's Brewhouse, which is right across from the Speedway. Check out their location and menu at the link below - just search for the Daytona Beach location:

I fly Solo, i don't think Anders has time the day before the race, if he does he might join us.

Yeah - let's firm it up for 7:00PM Fri the 27th at Miller's Ale House-Daytona.

I had lunch at the other location I had mentioned, and they have a great diverse menu and a really great selection of beers. However, when I talked with the manager he was only interested in a party our size if we had a fixed price buffet of pizza/salad/pasta.

I went to the Ale House and they were very interested in taking care of us. They are building a new outdoor area (it actually has a roof and full bar) where I think you can sit back and smoke a cigar with your drink. They have a good menu and it will be a very nice place to get together.

Take a look at post# 1 in this thread for a map and instructions on getting there.

Bob

Please note post# 1!!

I went to the restaurant I was interested in, but they weren't interested in our business.

So...I went where Todd Z had recommended in the first place, and that's where we'll meet.

Location will be Miller's Ale House-Daytona at 7:00PM Friday evening Jan 27th.

There's a map in post# 1 in this thread.
