Default Stainless Brake line Manufacturer options

Seems like most people are either running the Goodridge or Russell stainless lines and both parties seem to be happy. Anyone running Wilwood, Baer or other manufacturers that would be worth looking at?

The Spiegler lines that Essex Parts sells are top notch.

I tried a set of Russell lines once. The rear lines (for my 92) were so short that with the rer wheel off the ground, the line stretched so tight I could not move it when I pushed at the middle of the line. That told me that it could be easy for the line to be pulled apart at the ends.

Goodridge is a good line as is Earl's. No way I would ever use Russell lines again. Haven't used the DRM lines but I have heard they are excellent.

What type of fittings do they use? Has anyone had any of the wheel sensor errors with the DRM lines, I would prefer not to add a ground wire to each wheel?

We run a straight an adapter fitting (included). So there is no banjo fitting. In the past 7 years we have had maybe two complaints about the ABS going crazy. One of them was in fact a wheel bearing the other one I lost track of.

Randy- I was looking at the stainless lines on the website and I was curious if the set for C4's will work for those of us that have done a front C5 brake conversion? I have an 87 with C5 front brakes and it's time to replace my Earl's lines.

Randy, I will give you a call next week, but if I decide to upgrade brakes, will I need to put on longer lines, or will these work on the stock C5 calipers and other brake kits?

Sorry for the lack of follow up

C4 lines work great on C5 caliper upgrades.

The C5 lines will work with every aftermarket kit out there. Most kits will have a 10mm fitting in the rare case of 1/8 NPT (wilwood and others). I have a box of those fittings also. So no worries the lines are the same but the 3 dollar fittings maybe different, but that will not change the price of the lines.
