Default Once more unto the breach

I posted in the Race Parts for Sale that I WTB the Hardbar Extenders if anyone happened to have a set.

I have emailed Hardbar USA several times, but to no avail.

I just emailed them again, if they don't respond (or they are not in stock, again) I need a new option.

Who makes a harness bar that sits further back?

Thanks for the help.

Sharkbar. Sits further back and lower. Perfect height for the shoulder harnesses. I went from a Hardbar to the Sharkbar.

So anyone have a Shark Bar they need to get rid of?

It just pisses me off that I spent the money for the Hardbar for the reputation of quality products, but cannot get an answer for the extenders?

Since July of last year. I realize that he is a one man operation, but come on.

If you sent the msg through his website, it may not have gotten to him. Speaking from experience, sometimes they are delayed, sometimes you don't get them at all.
Why not call Hardbar?

Gary responded to me via email.

They do not have the parts - but they will soon?

This is the exact same message he gave me in July of 2011.

Another member PM'ed me that he has a Shark Bar and the already cut side panels (so what do I do with mine?) but wants to know what are they worth?

I haven't a clue - a new one is 375, so what is a used one worth?

The hardbar extenders are the best/easiest way to go. If for some reason that does not work out you can machine a set on a lathe. The other option is to remove the factory studs (some grinding required) and simply install longer bolts in place from underneath then slide some spacers (super easy on a lathe) between the floor and rails to raise the rails to the desired height so as not to crush the floor. Tack welding the bolts underneath will allow you to fasten the rails just like the stock ones without having to hold the bolts underneath. The other benefit is you can use standard bolts as opposed to the metric stuff so everything is easy to find.
