Default Corvette Race Car Wraps

Looking to change the look on my C5 race car. Does anyone have a source for some good race car wraps to fit a C5 ? I have no artistic genes in my body so if someone has some canned wraps that would be even better.

Not sure if you want complete coverage or not. There is a vendor that has numerous different types of stripe kits in many colors available.
Vette Stripes http://www.vettestripes.com They look good.

Looking for more than just some stripes. Whole or partial wrap is what I am thinking about.

I've had my car wrapped twice. This is what it currently looks like. I did the entire design myself and had my local wrap company print it and install it.

Feel free to PM me for questions.

Yes. I do it each year because it is easier to maintain and redo after a season of assorted race induced scars.

Here are a couple of links that I think are open to public viewing that show the transformation of my car in 2010 and 2011.
2011:
This is the better of the two links as it shows the substantial damage the car had prior to the annual restoration. You might have to "Friend" me on Facebook to view the photos....

I'm more than happy to assist you with the design. I get a kick out of doing it.

This is a VERY valid point. While I've had 2 different wrap versions, the car has been under the knife about 6 times, due to battle scars. It certainly is nice to not have to repaint a front fascia. Just put the new nose on and slap the new wrap pieces on.

My wrap company keeps my designs on file and allow me to reprint only what is needed.

Good as new.

Datawiz &/or Oli, what is the approximate price for something like that?

If you bring your own design, roughly $2,500-3,000. This is for a FULL BODY wrap. Some choose to do partial wraps and including the base paint as part of the design. You can save money this way, but you lose some of the wrap's inherent paint protection benefits.

The wrap you see on mine only cost $2,100, but they priced it that way because it was the 2nd wrap with them.

Then, the repairs are as needed. The wreck I illustrated in this thread required new wrap pieces for the nose, passenger fender, passenger mirror, and passenger rocker panel. Those replacements were just under $700. But, as you can see, the car looks brand new. In fact, it looks better than before the off-road excursion. BUT, the body panels UNDERNEATH the wrap pieces are still SHOWROOM new finish. This car has been raced 25 weekends per year for the last 4+ years, and the paint is still flawless. Wraps are a very good investment.

Other repairs, and/or changes, have typically been less than $100.

The modular design of wraps is worth it in the end.

Some will say paint is cheaper and in some cases it is, but by the time I buy, acquire or print new graphics (often custom) for sponsors, etc. and apply them to the car the wrap is cheaper. Then factor in mid-season damage and panel replacements you get a bonus saving. Sometime when you get hit hard, the wrap actually helps hold part of the body together, too.

Ultimate paint looks better, especially close-up if it is a good paint job, but blasting down the front straight and in photos at speed they are both as good as the other.

I have a local guy that quoted me +/- $800 for a partial wrap that included the rear, quarters, doors and fenders.

I know Fast Signs in Mishawaka does wraps. I don't know how good they are on price or quality though.

Also found this valley screen process inc. http://www.valleyscreen.com/view/vehiclewraps/

Also Smith Graphics http://www.smithgraphics.net/what-is-a-vehicle-wrap.php

There's probably more too.

I always thought it would be cool to have a car that started as silver in the front, then blended to black in the rear, with lots of decals and numbers.
